A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

No info yet! I have not hard from the hospital. I am just waiting to find out. The paramedics hooked him up to an IV and said his 02 levels were good, so he was all right when they left. I was worried his breathing would be affected next. He is not allergic to much of anything and has taken this medicine before, but he really had a bad reaction to it this morning, with the itching and the sweats and clammy hands and the weird out of body sensation and lightheadedness. I will post when I know something. He has not called not has the hospital. :(
Thanks!
Susi

Susi, sending happy thoughts and pixie dust to you and Ralph.
Watch out, when he comes home, he'll want to take over the computer to play more "Kick & Fly". :)

He did call, said he is feeling better, but don't know when he gets to come home. Soon I hope. Thanks for the prayers, a severe allergic reaction is nothing to mess with.

Ralphie sounds like a pretty tough guy. The docs will get him sorted out.

Prayers and Pixie Dust headed your way, Susi. I hope Ralphie will be OK.
Now I almost feel bad for asking for a little Pixie Dust my grandmother's (same one from the appendicitis on Thanksgiving, the only one I have) way. She went to the doctor today and something with her heart made them put her into the hospital for a few days to run a bunch of tests. She's doing fine otherwise. Send most pixie dust to Ralphie and Susi but a little my grandma's way would be nice.
Changing a tire at 7:30 in the morning when I have to be at work is no fun. It's no fun anytime but especially that early in the morning (for me at least) when I should be on my way already. I start backing my van out of the spot this morning and noticed it felt weird on the back driver's side. I stop and look and see that my tire is totally flat. I pull back into my spot, grab my tire tools, call my manager to tell him I'll be late, and started changing the tire. There was a screw stuck in it.
I decided to check the pressure in the idiot tire before putting it on and am glad I did, it was 20 lbs below where it should have been. It is hard work to use a hand pump to pump up an idiot tire from 40 to 60 lbs. Got the tire changed and headed to work. Wound up being only about 20 minutes late.
I work for AutoZone and regularly deliver parts to shops who have accounts with us so I get to know the mechanics. I was talking to one today about my tire and he told me to bring it by later and he'd fix it for free with a better style plug than what we sell and was my original plan to fix the tire. I took it by after work and he fixed it and put it back on the van for me. It is nice to know mechanics pretty well. Saved me about 8 bucks and he did a better job than I could have. I just owe him a Mountain Dew sometime.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
