If I see a mouse in my room,
it better be tall, black and wearing clothes.

I wish there were some more really gross smiles to fit this story.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

When I had to do a lot of travel for work, DW got me a little travel kit, that included a metal version of the folding cup! I used that, and a small black light when I travel!!

Having worked in a hotel where I know for a fact they didn't do anything like that, I hope that's not the norm... Of course, they didn't say in the story if they went to any other hotels in the area...

Re: Hope Disney don't do this
I used to be night manager at a hotel in Montana... I would have fired a housekeeper on the spot if anything like that happened. I saw first hand how well everything got cleaned daily (granted I wasn't looking over anybody's shoulder constantly, but why would they want to go to that extra trouble? It's easier to throw the glasses on the cart and make the dish-washers take care of them!). I wouldn't let a guest stay anywhere I wouldn't want to stay!
On the other hand, I bet a lot of people would question our sanitation practices...my dog would stay with me all night at the desk and come with me on security rounds and such. I even generally left her sitting in the hall (a few yards down so she wouldn't scare anybody) when I had to bring people extra pillows and blankets! (And I'm sorry to anybody who's allergic, but she was in every room of that hotel at some point! We...well mostly I...painted the entire interior of the place a couple years ago, and she was with me the whole time!:D :)
Edited to add: it was a really old building (a brothel back in the day) and said to be haunted. I'm not going anywhere alone at night in a haunted building! Kwahati kept me safe and sane!

Yo, it's one universal law but two sides to every story
Three strikes and you be in for life, manditory
Four MC's murdered in the last four years
I ain't tryin to be the fifth one, the millenium is here.

The story reminds me of the bit on "My name is Earl" where the maid is re-packaging the plastic throw away cups!!!
