Kwahati wrote:For anybody who's planning on going for this adventure, apparently there's a special promotion going on right now for the time period we're looking at: book a room and tickets package and get your tickets upgraded to park hoppers with the water parks and more option for free. Not a huge savings, but it's something! (You need to book by Dec 15 to get this promo from what I was reading online...)
I'm still working out if I can join, but at least I've run it past my roommates now and they are okay with me bailing for a short week away with you guys (meaning I have rides to and from airports on this side and people to watch Kwahati [my puppy]). Any specifics I can get on who's going (or looking into going) and what kind of game plan we're looking at would be great. I'm thinking (assuming I go) about getting a dining package to help take care of my food costs. Any chance there is a plan to take the Bubble Ladies somewhere nice for dinner at some point? I love any excuse to put on a tie! Any chance of taking them to a water park too? Does anybody know if they drink? I can't imagine them not loving the Adventurer's and Comedy Clubs... Thanks in advance for any info I can get. (And a big thanks to BW & MainStreeter for taking on the monumental task of planning this. We all know you guys are great, but this is above and beyond!)
I know for a fact that alcohol is NOT their thing. Elyse will have a Margarita from time to time, Elena doesn't care too much for any type of drink. I'm sure they'd love the Comedy Clubs but don't know enough about the Adventurer's Club to give an opinion. Water Parks??? Probably not going to be something they're looking forward to as it involves putting on bathing suits.
On the other hand...they love a good restaurant (anything beefy, chickeny or porky would be great...seafood, not so much).

Hey thanks! All of that's good to know! Although I don't understand why anybody should care about how they look in a swimsuit... I'm a 220lb Jew who unfortunately hasn't spent 40 years in a desert like my ancestors (and by that I mean my grandparents!:p :) so I still manage to look like an overweight pasty white-boy, but I'll but on trunks and go have a good time! Has anybody actually looked around a Disney park? It's like going to an IHOP: I don't care who you are, you'll be able to find somebody uglier than you are! Perfect way to make people feel good about themselves! (I know it works for me! ;) )

Ah, great information there. Thanks, JustMe.
I hadn't even thought about water parks. Ha!

Let me know when you know the dates for sure. My roommate knows a plaid out at WDW who says that he's willing to contribute to the cause. I'm not real sure what he has in mind, or even what he can do, but it will be something.

Because other people have started making plans and even booked flights around the Bubble Ladies 2008 (Disney) World Tour, their dates are very definitely March 3 - 13.

Just click the link in my signature, and it'll take you to the Amazon.com Honor System page. I chose that over PayPal for this project.

I'll be able to send a small contribution after the first of the year. Wish I could be there to meet the Bubble Ladies - we always take a bottle or two with us to MK and Fantasmic!

As soon as I talk to Donnie about the dates we will give you a yes or no as to whether we will be there. I know the ESPN thing is going on the weekend before that up till the 3rd right???? LOL..Donnie's eyes went boing when he saw the ad for it but before he even said a word, the answer was NO! So is there any other special events going on that week that I can plan on avoiding? (Not a big crowd person) This way he can ask off for work that week. We will only be able to stay for 4 nights or so cause of driving time.

That's great! I'll be at WDW March 2 - 9 myself! With the March 5 Cirque du Soleil show of course :-)
