Further, I find that very few things ever need fixing: more goes right with a WDW vacation for me than anywhere else. Further, I find that being a good boy and playing by the rules tends to get me a lot of free stuff or special attention that I don't need, but absolutely appreciate. A few years ago, the front desk at the Coronado Springs just decided to upgrade us to a suite for no good reason. It started because they said "Welcome home." and I said "It's great to be back!" This lead to a short conversation about how often I try to go and they apparently realized we only had a short stay, and a suite was open during that time. They just volunteered something to the effect of "We like to take extra special care of guests who come back so often...How would you like to be upgraded to a suite for your stay?" This last time, at Port Orleans Riverside, a manager found out we had called an ambulance for my roommate and came to our room to check if there was anything she could do. We told her that it was going to be fine, but we just needed to cut the conversation a little short so we could go get a cab to the hospital. She told us that she at least wanted to let the hotel pay for the cab! I couldn't believe it. There was no reason for that. It was completely unnecessary. It wasn't Disney's fault at all, and yet she just wanted to do everything she could to make sure we were as happy as possible. Between that and all the free cupcakes, cookies and singing ("This is your birthday song! It isn't very long!") that my roommate got for wearing her "Birthday Pin" during our trip, I'm more than satisfied with how great of care Disney takes of guests even without needless complaints to try to get something for nothing... And it's more fun and special when it's given out of the kindness of someone's heart rather than as an attempt to shut up a loud-mouthed guest. :)
Well said! That's cool they paid for the cab! Not many companies do things like Disney does! They always go out of their way to make a trip magical and fun! When I was very sick last Christmas at the DL Hotel, we had a house call doctor come and I got a shot in the butt of some meds to make the nausea go away, but I was sick for 4 days in bed! The concierge staff went out of their way to go to a store and get me some ginger ale for my tummy. I could not eat and they brought me tea and crackers. It was amazing how they went out of their way to make sure I was okay. We are going to try again this Christmas and I do NOT plan on being sick this time! :D:
We definitely told the proper managers how great the staff was and how they helped me through the worst of 4 days in bed at the Happiest Place On Earth! :o:

Okay...it's a little premature as he doesn't have the job yet, but we all know he's going to get it... So I guess I'll jump on the preemptively congratulatory bandwagon too!
:congrats: :zazu:
We all knew you could do it!!! :D:

You've got to get the new job so you'll have a whole new set of stories to tell.

Good luck!!

I wanna free t-shirt and a free meal and maybe even a free annual pass and a FastPass good for all the rides in the park every day for the rest of my life and....and....

You want a sappy "Good Luck" smiley? Yeah sure, why not. I can do sappy. How's this one? :goodluck:

Hey, why not be specific?

Okay, let's try it out:

:goodluck: :zazu: ...

I'm afraid we need a big, gaudy exclamation point for that one.
