Re: Too much?
Wow, I would love to recreate Carolwood. Sign me up when it's time to swing hammers, or whatever it is we will need to do.
Of course, then Zazu'll be chasing me out of the backyard every night...

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Too true. I miss my trains. Of course, I have been plotting a way to get back to the Magic Kingdom again. Going to take a few months though....Randy B wrote:I don't think we would have to twist Zazu's arms too hard if we were insisting that he run a steam train around and ajacent to his back yard.
There are 26 houses around the lake, so a bunch of you would have to all move here. Good news: about eight of them are for sale right now!Maybe if enough SGTers bought adjacent properties along the lake....
Well, maybe. The tricky part would be building up the hills Walt had this place is plenty flat with a very high water table. We'd have to take out a few houses to do it. More expense, but fewer of us have to commit.... the combined backyard would be able to contain a full size recreation of Carolwood.
Without that, we'd be pretty much limited to a 7.5" gauge loop. Big enough to ride, but the curves would be too broad to do much in the way of fancy loops.
Not terribly difficult to build. I've worked on Walt's track and it's very simply put together.
