Was it me?
Was it me?
So, I'm back from my trip. Saw all the typical stupid guest tricks, people who don't understand what "no flash photography" means or who ask annoying questions, or -- my personal favorite -- who like to stop in the middle of the walkway for no reason except to obstruct traffic.
But one stands out in my mind. We were waiting in line for a character signing in France in Epcot. There were these two kids playing in the hedge. I man that literally. One of them was lying in the hedge while the other one was trying to pull him back over the guard rail and onto the sidewalk. To make it clear, the kid wasn't stuck in the hedge; he was actively resisting getting out of the bushes.
I tried to get the cast member's attention and point them out to her, but she was oblivious, so I called out, "hey kid, get out of the hedge." They were gone a few seconds later. My wife said that I sounded angry, and I guess I was. Why wasn't someone watching those kids, or worse, was watching them and ok with them leaping over railing and damaging the hedges.
So, who was the stupid guest, them for being in the hedge or me for doing something about it?

You and me both, buddy. My roommates are still making fun of me for what they're referring to as my "personal crusade to end the incorrect usage of flash in photography"...
You did the right thing, but the bad guys have us good guys outnumbered and surrounded. We can't win `em all. :(

Hillary, whatever your politics are, is right when she said,"It takes a village" to raise kids. You were just pointing out that there are limits in behavior out in the public, something apparently even their parents forgot.
Hey, everyone gets a little outraged by something everyday. You can't hold EVERYTHING in!

Just make sure you pick the right village, eh? If I have kids, I expect everyone here to babysit once in a while. :D:DisneyMom wrote:Hillary, whatever your politics are, is right when she said,"It takes a village" to raise kids.
Buggy, you did nothing wrong. I applaud you. Where's a smiley of an audience applauding?
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

This is true only when the parents are idiots -- which unfortunately is becoming more and more common... :mad:DisneyMom wrote:..."It takes a village" to raise kids. You were just pointing out that there are limits in behavior out in the public...
