Official SGT ADD thread

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Re: Official SGT ADD thread
I had a great evening tonight for Thanksgiving. The couple that Liz and I are about to co-rent with invited us to go spend Thanksgiving with them at her mother's house. We had a great time, and out front the neighbors' cats were very friendly, and one even climbed up on my lap for a proper petting. This was a wonderful moment for me.
You see, it's been about two years since I've touched a cat. To me, cats are the most relaxing animal on the planet, and I thoroughly enjoy them. I like dogs too, but cats are always my favorite. So to pet one for the first time in two years was a very nice thing for me.
We've kinda decided that when we get into the new place, we want three cats, preferably from the same litter. That way, they are all used to each other, we aren't splitting them up, and between them there will always be that nice dynamic that they are fun to watch play with each other.
Can't wait to have cats in the house once again.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Hey look! I won an orange in today's trivia question at Plaza Inn... The Question was,"What movie characters took over the Haunted Mansion?" and the answer was Nightmare before Christmas. *I ate the orange earlier. Nummeh.

I can loan you my cat! She has taken over my home office and likes to "bap" my computer mouse! (She figured out that if it moves, the LED comes on to detect movement!)

I had a cat that had figured out the secret to running water. She knew to turn the dial... damn the fact she didn't have opposable thumbs. So I would be in the bathroom brushing my teeth, I'd turn off the water when I was done... but she wanted some fresh water, so she'd bop the the dial until I turned it for her, she'd lean down, take a drink and bop it again. Once I had turned off the water, she'd run off, or just sit there and watch me get ready to leave.

I totally agree. Most conversations do ramble round several topics. It IS having a conversation with friends here. That is why I love it here. So many places in cyberspace make you stay on the topic or they *warn* you or close the discussion. I like that we can naturally follow a conversation here and if something really does get going, it does stay on topic for some time. We have the bestest mods and admins ever! What a great site! I have found really great people by coming here!Randy B wrote:As in any good conversation between friends a topic will wander. So trying to stop such wandering would only stifle natural conversation between friends. JMHO

Nooooooo...I just wuv you guys.... and kittys too!
Wallaby, I am so happy that you are going to get three cats. Always better to have more than one. Cats make a house a home. I cannot wait to see pics of the little critters when you get them.
