There and Back Again: An SG's Tale...

Post by Kwahati » Tue Nov 13, 2007 4:42 pm

Hey everybody! So, apparently, my old links don't work because I've been getting a 404 error every time I try to get to SGT since Polar took it down for the refurbishment (by the way: nice job Polar, I like what I've seen so far!) So, finally I decided to do a Google search to see if I could find any mention of what became of SGT (assuming that, because I couldn't access it, that it never came back!) So, long story short, I found you all again!

But...

I found you all a mere 15.5 hours before I get on a flight to Orlando! I had really wanted to plan to meet up with some of you, but I don't know how feasible that is with so little time left before I leave. If anybody wants to try to meet up, please PM me and I'll PM back my mobile number so you can get in touch with me in the World. I'll be down there from about noonish tomorrow (14Nov07) until the early afternoon on the 21st. Staying at Port Orleans Riverside.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I love you all and I missed you all so much and I'm on my way to my laughing place! I feel so excited I could burst! :D:

Welcome back!

Change your bookmark for the homepage to "http://www.stupidguesttricks.com", no matter what else changes that will always be a working address.

To get any bookmarks to threads you might have working remove the "vb3" (I think that's what it was, something similar anyway).

We're leaving on Friday. See you there (not that you'd recognize me or anything).

We're flying home the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the busiest travel day of the year. Talk about a stupid guest trick.

I'm doing my schtick for a few final days, just to get it recorded so it's not lost forever. So you might be among the last to hear it live.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Are you going to make an MP3 copy of this recording available for the education of us who have no chance to hear it live?

Randy

OK, we're staying onsite, Pop Century. We'll give a listen for an amusing bus driver. Would it be rude to try to identify you while we're there?

Have a great time Buggy and Kwahati...Keep your eyes peeled (my mom always used to say that, tho it sounds rather painful) for Sssssssss...Geeeeeeeees and good stories to regale us with when you get back, or you can always post FROM your vacation (Like THAT is gonna happen!)

Wallaby, you SHOULD tape a spiel and burn it to CD for all of us. I would definitely want one. You could take one of those litle recorders with you on one of your runs and do it. Please...please...please...please...please....please...please...please...please...please...continued to infinity

If I was on your bus I would have a recorder to tape it for posterity. Oh yeah I forgot, since I left the biz they have these new things called MP3's and newfangled recording devices...I am SO behind the times. I AM a dinosaur. I just cannot keep up with all the new inventions and things the world has to offer. We do not have kids so that alone keeps us from hearing about it all the time. I know the kids are into ALL this new stuff. I just cannot keep up.

You should see the box full of airchecks and radio shows that I recorded when I was working. Someday I may share with all of you, when I can figure out how to get the sound from a cassette tape into the computer... CASSETTE TAPE!!!! :hysteria: HAHAHAHAHA I AM old!!!!!!
So Wallaby. you MUST record a couple of your runs before you move to another role and we can all have the BEST spiel ever in WDW, (No offense Cranbix...you could record your spiel too and then we would have the TWO BEST spiels, probably the ONLY spiels since everyone else is using MIMS and we could put em both on the same CD!) What a treat to have a bus spiel recording, a first in Disney history.
Puleeeeeeze..... :beg: :D:
susi :p:
