Awhile ago I was friends with someone who did some clearing house stuff for Walt Disney World.

During that time, I was able to claim some interesting "defective" items.

When they got rid of the Fast pass machines he was able to get an entire stack of blank haunted mansion fast passes. I have those. Id say more than 1,000 if you were to tear them individually.

Probably another 1,000 Caretaker of the day cards

and then a few actual props from inside HM

Having recently gone through a lot of my disney merchandise/memorobilia, I was just wondering if these things held any value.

As awful as it is, I could use the money and was wondering what people would pay for this kind of memorabilia.

If its wrong and you hate me, I understand. I just dont have the room to store 1,000 blank HM fast passes, and at the same time I dont want to get rid of them unless they were of value.

Put it up on eBay. Start it at a bottom price for each item, like the group of blank fastpasses would be one item and say start the price at 10 bucks for the lot of em or whatever price you decide. You will find that these will sell on eBay. Depending on the props you have and what condition they are in, you could make a bit of scratch on em. Disney sells very well on eBay, especially Park stuff and collectible things that no one else can get. That is the key. If it is unusual and only one of a kind, it'll sell. Haunted Mansion stuff is HUGE on eBay right now. HUGE! The pins gor for lots of $$$ a piece. I saw a couple go up into the hundreds for just one pin of the Haunted Mansion. Depends on the pin style and if it is LE or not, but I say give it a try. Why not? eBay is the biggest garage sale/flea market in the country. I just saw a great documentary on CNBC last night about the history of eBay. It was great.

Interesting. Given the number of posts lately on worthless things (like expired FPs and park maps) going for $$$ on eBay, I bet you could make something off of them. Shoot, I'm intrigued myself, and I have absolutely no use for any of them. :)

I don't see any reason to need to expect to be flamed. I mean, you need the money. Can anyone fault you? I am sure you would much rather keep all that stuff... but when the need for money arises and bites, it can bite hard. I know that one... I think we all do.

PROVENANCE

You will need to show how you got the items in case Disney decides that the stuff belongs to them. Disney does not allow the removal of company property and can throw hissy fits over any item it finds for sale that does not have a reasonable provenance.

Put them up for sale on Ebay and they will sell. Factors include condition, rarity, uniqueness, presentation/marketing of the auctioin, and most important is the genres. Mansion is a big collectible item as is park memorabilia. Also how important is the item to a buyer such as a tea cup from the dance scene is not going to go for as much as a coffin, crystal ball or chandelier.
