Disneyland SG Report 11/01/07

Post by Purpura » Fri Nov 02, 2007 1:39 pm

We went into the park for the afternoon to have a good time... DCA Side first. CLBeilby went into Soarin' by himself. I waited outside and saw a mom and son in Heelies (Boo hiss) I told them to be careful walking around, and that if Security saw them they would tell them to take their wheels out.

We had fun wandering around that side going on rides etc., and then decided to head over to Disneyland itself- but as we passed by Soarin' again, we saw a boy pushing his sister and brother at full run in a wheelchair. Mom of said trio wasn't even telling him to control the speed of said chair careening around as people walked through until the family had nearly reached the Sun Plaza.

Disneyland... We wandered around doing some of the rides and things there. When we were in Buzz Lightyear we saw a family chowing down on ice cream... I so wanted to go over there and help them finish it off

We got hungry, so we stopped at Little Red Wagon."Let me go get change from my cousin..." She didn't have 60 cents and was ahead of us in line. Took her about five minutes to get change from her cuz. We were behind her, and then when we had gotten our corn dogs we noticed there was more of a line behind us.

Multiple Ropes/chains were being sat on in: Space Mountain (ClBeilby alone on that ride) Big Thunder Mountain(Both of us Eek -me!), and Indiana Jones (Both of us again)

We went into the Haunted Mansion Holiday and found another SG. Teenage girl SCREAMED! when the lights went off in the Stretching room... She deafened ClBeilby in one ear for a few minutes.
We had Flash Photographers about eight cars behind us as well. They paused the ride and an eerie voice said "No flash photography..." But it didn't stop them. We told one of the unloaders when we got off which car it was, and I suggested she take their camera and take some pictures of the family repeatedly, and then lead them to a dark location. Heh

Then we went on Indiana Jones... and there was a group in there ahead of us in line with churros... I wanted to go help them finish it off... Part of their group went to get the churros and came back cutting in to give the churros to others at the point where the lines merge to get into the Film Room...

That was the last SG in the park... but we got one on the Tram going back to our car... One father jumped on the tram in the last row behind where we were sitting with his daughter. The row was also pretty much full of kids from a group that also shared our row. The last row was full but the kids had scooted over closer to their family to hear what they were saying and didn't scoot back over.

Sounds like a normal day walking around the parks of the World.

Hope you enjoyed your day despite the SG's that made themselves all-too-well-known.

We did... We did enjoy it. We even saw a couple friends of mine that I knew from Main Street and Frontierland. One was a busser and the other is known as Farley the Fiddler.

Clbeilby says he's gonna have to get me back for having us participate in one of Farley's Hoe-downs... Eight high school girls, Us, and two younger girls all squaredanced on a porch just inside Frontierland too.

I had a winner call me today..

"What will the crowds be like on January 8, 2008??"

I told him "Sir, I can look out at the park from where I'm working right now, and I can't even tell you how crowded the park is right now, let alone in an hour or in January of next year!!"

He said he just wanted to know because he wanted to come on a day when he wouldn't have to stand in lines that were too long (I guess that would be under 10 minutes per attraction, but then he'd NEVER come to the park, ever!!)

The lines Oct. 1-3 were very short. We never waited more than twenty minutes.

"Well, there will be people. Some will be there without kids. Some will be there with kids. The kids will vary in age from 3 to 18 or so. Some kids will be tall. Some will be short. Some will be fat. Others will be skinny. All will have some form of item to either cover their feet or to keep their feet from directly touching the ground. Some will have a device to push their children. Some will have electronic devices that will record a still image of the park, them or their family. They or others will have an electronic device that records video images. . . . "
