Who knew the deep forest was only 4 feet away?

So I might as well write this thing. I did have a real nice long review of Snow White for you but my computer crashed when I was submitting it so now you get this. Enjoy.

Ah the beauty of Snow White. The songs. The artistic vision. The Dwarves... All shoved through a meat processor to get the 30 min Reader's Digest condensed version.

Obviously my first issue is with how short it is. With all the depth and plot twists of the story it could have been much longer. Extend not shorten best songs in the show and get rid of the bad songs completly. The "Washing Up" has to go! Some of the most dramatic moments are cut down to nothing yet the cute kiddie scenes like the aforementioned "Washing Up" scene was extended. For example it took about 60 seconds for Snow White to "Die" and then be reawakened by the prince. Where's the Drama?! Where's the Romance in that?! Where did she get that dress?! It just seemed that they spent so much time getting the show going that they realized that the show had to end... and quick. Bad Form.

I am all for equality in casting but if your source material is called "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" wouldn't you cast your Dwarves at least a little smaller than the lead? Yes there are no Dwarves here most of them are as tall or even taller than the actress playing Snow. It's not a small world after all.

One last thing. Forest Creatures. Hated them. I know that the small and cute birds and other animals follow Snow throughout most of the movie, but that was when they were small and cute (key words.) The ones in the show also followed our lead around for most of the show but these guys were HUGE. I can understand having them at the beginning of the show around when Snow is singing "I'm Wishing" after that they should go! the costumes look like they were made for Fat Albert (how about something tight fitting gazelles from animazement, anyone?) and they looked as if molting season was in high swing. Again bigger than the lead actress. Big no no.

One good thing I liked about the show was the Magic Mirror. Very cool. At the start of the show the he pops you from the cover of the trees and pronouces with a big booming voice "I am Patrick Stewart! I rule this show!" Ok so he didn't say that, but it was Captain Picard doing the voice. Big thumbs up for that one. I will admit the lip-syncing was a little off but it was a soft opening i'll give them a break. Just get it fixed!!

All in all I did not enjoy the show all that much. If I had paid for it I might have asked for my money back. It's good to be a Cast Member (or at least know one).

Videos (If they don't work download and install the BS Player and all the components to go with it.)

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"

"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

That thing was a bluebird? And here I thought it was some kind of funny looking fairy....

The only things I REALLY liked about the play were the mirror and the horse.

God must love stupid people. He made so many of them.

Well, if we plumpen up Snow White she will be bigger than the rest of the cast. Kidding, don't kill me. :throw: :throw: :throw:

Poor white horse, she might not be used anymore....The screams from the gadget's go-coaster and the train engine frightens the poor thing and puts the entertainment CM's in a dangerous position.

I love Dopey though!!!!

I survived working at Disneyland... My job there will be missed...

I went to a preview of the show and I agree with Cujo. I understand it's Disney but just how much belief are you supposed to suspend? It's for the kiddies right? I guess they needed to fill up the theater with something. Keep trying and you get it, you creative types. I'll be waiting patiently.

Horrible. I agree with Cujo-the animals have to go. I took me most of the show to figure out that a woman with FLOWERS on her head was a bluebird.
