SO basically, just come in on the right shifts, and call off most of the time and you can get three months of free admission to the parks? lol. Someone sign up the SGs! This is the best Disney deal since free dining this month! They even get to come backstage to see the magic without paying for the tour!!!

oh man. this thread is a hoot.

When I worked for the Stores, they interviewed almost 400 people to fill 23 positions. Yeah, it was like that back then. It was 1989 LOL

Well, the first day, soft open, one of the girls gets fired for stealing a watch.

Did she think no one would notice, when they checked our purses every night before we left? LOL

All this Douglas Adams talk makes me think of this: "Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so."

Keep the stories coming please! :)

Courage in your own.

How about the one where the CM would sell a renewed AP to the guest, but failed to tell them that they received a $10 gift card for renewing the AP before it expired. After the guest left he/she issued the GC to themselves!! Then (the stupid in the CM really came out) he/she cashed out the GC at the window he/she was working at.
Yeah, they were fired. They were fired for $10 (several times over, but still.)

I keep up with the last company I worked for. I saw that the travel lady just got busted for wire fruad by the FBI. Apparently she tapped the company for $90,000. Some of it was used for her kid's private high school tuition.

She was very good at her job. She helped me set up accomodations for over 600 systems engineers I brought in for training. I wonder if she was getting a piece of the action back then?

What a dope.

In the grand scheme of things, aren't they all dopes?

People who are dishonest will try something innocent to see if they can get away with it. When they do, they think "Wow, no one even noticed." So they try it again, most times a little more daring (more money, or something more valuable, etc). Every time they get away with it, they get more and more daring. Usually in that process, many times they flaunt their new found "wealth." Finally they become so reckless, it would take a blind person not to see what see what they were doing (or a really really dumb auditor).

In 13 years as an Internal Auditor with The American National Red Cross I was directly involved in seven people getting fired and/or prosecuted, two being asked to resign within 30 days, and two with internal disciplinary action.
