At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Just for reference, my wife and I had one the first three years we were married and never even plugged it in. Made a great support for the DVD player, though.
We have one VCR now, upstairs, and it exists just so I can digitize old video.

I was a good girl today and did not verbally abuse an sob SGT.
Rosewood restaurant has double wide doors to enter through. I have mother in her wheelchair and this dude and his family go in. I get the doors both open and hurt my back hauling momma but not one dratted time did that jerk offer to help.

We are so excited!!! Everything is packed and I made out special thank-you cards to give to CMs!! Finally, a week of fun and magic!! I can't wait to get there!! Epcot tomorrow!! Soarin'!!

I have a VCR but I use it mainly to hook my PS2 and N64 to my bedroom TV which is to old to have AV inputs (but works great). Once in a blue moon I may watch one of my old VHS movies but I mainly watch DVDs. The VCR was a display model I got from Circuit City a good while back so it isn't like I paid a lot for it.
mechurchlady, sorry for the SGs. I always hold the door open for anybody following me and usually let ladies on through first. If I see someone in a wheelchair or using a cane or something I'll always hold the door open for them. Some people are just plain rude and don't care about anybody else.
