Video of Pluto chasing a kid

I did the play by play to help me mostly understand this and as was pointed out there are details like the gold which makes this an older video. We know it was a warm day by the people walking around in summer clothes.

I had to play this many times and the CM did look at Pluto and follow him around with her body and head but did not try to help him up or protect him.

This scene is very fast and there are lots of mysteries. Nobody seems to explain the shocked look of the person in the orange shorts/pants in the first second. Nobody explains why the CM would watch Pluto chasing a kid when that is not normal behavior for a costumed CM. Why wasn't security seen in the video? Not one person tried to interfere with her.

Could Pluto really chase a kid get verbally assaulted and then shoved off the curb without CMs stepping in let alone bystanders? The play by play shows me that the mother was standing on the west side of the circle, had the camera and that something caused Pluto to chase that kid and when they came to the Emporium she tried to head them off.

Another question. If Pluto was chasing my kid then I would not have waited for him to get around the circle to the Emporium but would have gone northeast toward the north end of the circle. I might also have gone east after them but north east would have been an easier way to stop them. Also if a costumed let alone anyone was scaring or endangering my kid then I would have been screaming my head off and would have gone to the CM in the circle.

Has anyone thought of the possibility of a 2nd Pluto running in to chase the kid from the grassy knoll located in front of the train station?

Or maybe it be Davey Jones that chased the kid, this is my consPIRACY theory after all maties....

Watching this video again, it's dyslexic math. My big question is the same as Churchy's: Why aren't there people around protecting Pluto? If that CM is so disliked by his coworkers, maybe it's time to find other employment. I mean to say, being a costumed character is not something you want to go alone.

After watching this, I was disgusted what people do.

On a lighter side, I am expected the Benny Hill music to play while Pluto was chasing the kid!! :D

Classic! Benny Hill music or Three Stooges music. That would be so fitting with this vid. And man, can that pooch run on his hind legs, he is truckin'....I wonder if he was just playing with the kid. Maybe Pluto was "play" running after the kid and when they got to the mom she was "scolding" Pluto as in "Bad doggie. Bad!" and then pushed him, it did not look like a really hard shove and Pluto was on the curb and with a costume head on it would be hard to see where to step. If he had to step down he would have fallen. And then Pluto gets up and walks over to the crowd and points at the mom in a sense saying "See? See what she did to me?" Or he could have been garnering witnesses for a trip to City Hall if it was malicious. Maybe it was not play, but it IS old film and we never heard anything about it. I would say it may have been a staged doggie running after kid. Maybe the handler told the kid to run, Pluto would chase him or the kid did something and the handler could have said "Oh no, now Pluto is gonna chase you for that" Sonmething along those lines. Maybe...
Or, just maybe Pluto got kicked in the yarbles, and was PISSED!!!! :pluto: though if that had happened, he probably would not be running THAT fast! OWIE!

You got that right! The stories I've heard of SGs and characters you gotta have character attendants. I've heard of people doing crazy things because of characters from my brother who up until recently was a CA.

If the people who took the video posted it and called it that, maybe that IS what happened...Yikes, bad kid...and really bad mom for shoving Pluto to the ground! But who knows, did the actual person who shot the film, post it?

That video was added on September 14, 2007 thus not by the owner of the tape. It is their opinion apparently.

Basically it is either an assault on Pluto or a game set up to pretend Pluto is chasing him.

I go for the assault as the first second of the video shows a person with their hand to their mouth like OMG and not staring quizically or laughing. If it was staged then where is the handler and why arent people in a group trying to get autographs. The flowers indicate the season and the lamp post should tell us the year. I wonder why this has been hidden so long.

How do you know the woman is "shocked?" She could just be yawning.

I was only at DL once, but I have read that characters do not have CAs. Not sure. If not, maybe the CA was calling security.

I watched this video from a link on another site and only one person said "I wonder what the kid did?" all the others were outraged that Pluto was chasing the kid. I on the other hand was laughing my butt off and was cheering on Pluto and hope that he did not get into any trouble for chasing the brat.
