SGT in the making?
Hey I used to post here ages ago, don't know if any of you remember me..! :D: A bit sorry to say I'm your typical SG/Passhole, but a nice one, I hope.
On another forum I know an annual passholder who is planning a trip around May and wants to cosplay (dress up in costumes) with her friends as Kingdom Hearts characters, to get pictures of themselves standing next to the characters at DL. She seems pretty convinced that there's some sort of deal where, if you e-mail Disneyland (?) with a picture of your group in costume, you can be provided with special badges and advance permission that enable you to wear costumes in Disneyland for the day. I laughed at this, but considered the DISTINCT possibility that maybe there is such thing. (I don't see how, because of liability, but it's a myth, right?)
Anyway, her friend is completely convinced she can take on security at Disneyland or something, I suppose, because she's been saying things like "We are going to Disneyland in costumes regardless of ANYTHING!" I got in trouble with the forum admin (who appears to favour those 2 people) for arguing against this and telling them I've spoken to CMs who know there is no special dealio about wearing costumes. So my word is invalid I guess, but anyway, they're planning on bringing costumes and changing while inside the park.
I'll get a ban if I try to tell them anything else. :) Good thing I don't like them much already. (The AP girl thinks they can get away with it because she was there on Bat Day and saw people in gothic lolita style.)

Never tell a know-it-all that they are wrong. Instead get the proper gear and camp out while watching them be proved wrong.
Gear may include flak jackets, drinks, popcorn and jujubes. It depends on the situation. Also be prepared for a bitching thread about how their trip was ruined when they are not allowed to cosplay and did not get all the things they thought they should have gotten including a limo ride from the airport and free admission to parks 3 hours before official opening time.
lol

You left out a good digital camera with lots of memory. It will be a Kodak Moment.mechurchlady wrote:Gear may include flak jackets, drinks, popcorn and jujubes.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I'm thinking more of a 3 camera shoot, and I bet for a good training video for the CM's, DL might let you bring in a boom and other cool things to enhance the videohobie16 wrote:You left out a good digital camera with lots of memory. It will be a Kodak Moment.

When we went to WDW in May of this year I saw a teenage girl wearing a Belle dress that you could tell was a kid's size and nobody said anything to her. I thought that they weren't supposed to be in costume but I guess because of how rediculus she looked they let her get away with it.

Good Point Polar.
Most of the Kingdom Hearts characters are Disney and thus well known. They would get weird looks or security on them. I hope we are kept informed of this matter, lol.

Re: SGT in the making?
Yeah true, I just thought that it's even worse that it's Kingdom Hearts instead of some other weird anime show, because there are bound to be SOME people (it's actually a very popular game... in the gaming world..?) who play Kingdom Hearts and acknowledge that it is, in fact, Disney-related. Plus there's the whole liability thing: kid sees costumed person from their favourite Disney video game doing non-Disney approved things like smoking or something like that, big no-no. And I kept bringing up security but they just brushed me off. I really hope at this point they get dragged out kicking and screaming, too bad I probably won't even be in the park at the time.
