just learned that all the childhood scenes of travers was filmed on the old texas backlot of universal. nice. some sets you can always reconize but a few. like in sliders tv show.
you can see that all of season 4 was on either the old manhatten street set or the old world sets.
even with repainting and a few new props it always looked the same.
and they wonder why the show died. people got tired of looking at the same sets every week with a new story. even the cast all wanted to quit after a while.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Sorry to differ, but I recognized Simi Valley immediately as the site of their dilapidated-looking home in "Allora". I watched waaaaaaay too much "Little House on the Prairie",also filmed in Simi Valley, as a kid, and as a nurse visited many patients there.
This location was confirmed for me (after I viewed the film) on some movie site or another.
The weirdest thing I found out in my travels is that as well as passing by Roy Rogers' old ranch and the area where they filmed the opening scene of the Lone Ranger TV Show over in the Rocky Peak area of Chatsworth, it was also the location of the Spanne Movie Ranch where Manson and his followers hung out

Ah, when the pictures of the Studios came up, they brought back some great memories of the trip with hhsrat, Shorty and the tour there with Lady Ulrike.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
