From everything I've read here they wouldn't need to disguise themselves as no one has ever seen them before.felinefan wrote:I wonder what would happen if they shot an episode of Undercover Boss at WDW....?

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I think MK cast would recognize Meg Crofton, as she pulled shifts in costume while she was Vice President there.hobie16 wrote:From everything I've read here they wouldn't need to disguise themselves as no one has ever seen them before.felinefan wrote:I wonder what would happen if they shot an episode of Undercover Boss at WDW....?
Phil, not so much. I've seen more of Al Weiss in the past two years, and he's retired.

Can only speak about DisneyLand, and hobie you nailed it. I have never seen Bob Iger in park, though I would not know him. Think D L Security might tell me in passing. Michael Colglazier and wife were on Main Stree last year and I helped his wife. Very nice couple, but who knew? He later returned to thank me. I was like, "okay. You are welcome. Please come back soon." I heard CMs chatter then laugh at me. Everyone thought I was joking with Michael. Hope he took it as such, because I had no clue who he was.

In general, I really don't like reality TV. I look more for escapism, I guess. But, that being said, I've watched Undercover Boss a couple of times and think it's one of the more interesting concepts in general. (Although they must work really hard to find those great employees with the tear inducing backgrounds to pair the boss with.) The reason the idea catches my attention, I think, is that I really believe in sending bosses/managers into the trenches on a semi-regular basis. There's just so much to be learned. I worked in the IT department of a good-sized company and we were expected to go into the Operational portions of the business once a year. It gave me a much better understanding of the nuts and bolts we were supporting.felinefan wrote:I wonder what would happen if they shot an episode of Undercover Boss at WDW....?
I bet Undercover Boss would love to get just about any C-level person from Disney, but it would be nice if Disney would just revive Walt's approach of making sure the non-guest facing CMs got out with the masses.
