Tom Clancy Will Not Be Down For Breakfast
The author behind mega-hits like "The Hunt for Red October," "Patriot Games" and "Rainbow Six" -- died last night at the age of 66.I always thought his second book, Red Storm Rising, was the best. It was the only one with no Jack Ryan too.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I think Cardinal of the Kremlin may have been my favorite.

Red Storm Rising was perhaps my favorite. Of course with the way things are going right now in Washington DC I think Debt of Honor is not a bad read.

Loved 'em all, but Cardinal of the Kremlin was my favorite, too. His books enthralled me with the way so many detailed plotlines would develop and intersect.
RIP Mr. Clancy, and thank you for many hundreds of hours of entertainment.
Here's the NY Times story on his passing.

You forgot Dr Suess, but I've been accused of being childish before too.
