I'm Alive!

Post by Lasolimu » Mon Sep 09, 2013 2:00 pm

Wow I've been gone a long time I think we're close to 10 months or so since my last post and probably well over a year since I posted anything more than a welcome BBQ. I suppose that's what happens when life bites your butt. I got really busy with work and various other things like car crashes that visiting the site just got pushed to the background. Anyway, I'm back! Hopefully I'll be able to stay awhile.

BTW, I'm headed to visit the mouse in Anaheim in early November.

Welcome. The BDoSGT, Marsupial Welcoming Committee, and Welcome Dragon should be along shortly ;) Oh wait ... um ... watch out for your own flames?

Hi Lasolimu!

Glad to see you back, especially with the almanac calling for a bitterly cold winter. Those of us in the NE will be able to use the heat!

;)

I'll be driving down November 6th, be in the parks for most of November 7th, be at the Anaheim Convention Center November 8th and 9th, be back in the parks on November 10th, and driving home on November 11th. That's right, I'm really heading down for BlizzCon again, but it's so close to DLR how could I not spend a couple days in the parks?

On the 10th we're planning to do something I consider to be an SGT, but not because we'll be breaking any rules or anything. We're planning to have dinner at the Blue Bayou, with a party of 12, only 2 of which are children, and no one in the group is independently wealthy. If that doesn't count as stupid, I don't know what does.

That brings up a good question. The fam is headed to my second home next week. We always talk about eating at the Bayou, but the wife says that is just too expensive. We are celebrating the 15th anniversary of her 25th birthday there and I thought maybe this would be the time to try it out? Worth it or not? I am supper interested in the atmosphere, but for the money I would like good food too.

That's not stupid. Stupid is dining there with a party of 12, only 2 of which are adults!

It may not be the brand of stupid that these boards were made for, but I find it stupid none the less. One person buying dinner for 12 at the Blue Bayou when there is no way they can really afford it seems stupid to me...of course I get that from having seen what that kind of spending can do to a person.
