Lost And Found Has A List

Six Flags Magic Mountain has a list of people who couldn't get through to lost and found.

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it. We have your phone and we are going to ignore you so that we can sell it and offset the employee costs to run our non-functional lost and found department. Super efficient, don't you think?

So, would the tactic be to leave a message saying your looking for something not terribly valuable, and then when they return the call hit them with the phone? Classic bait and switch.

SO Frustrating! Kudos to the CMs at World of Disney who found and returned my SIL's lost phone within a couple hours recently! :D:

I've lost two things at Disneyland. First was a lens hood for my camera. They found and returned it. The exact one I lost. The other thing was my Fitbit One on the last trip. They sent me Scotty J's...

But, Disneyland is 2 for 2 on sending the correct model of something I lost!

Back in our family stroller days, the wife always had a little makeup bag in the bottom of the stroller. (No sense in looking less than perfect all the time) We came off Peter Pan and she couldn't find her makeup bag. It's kind of fancy so it may have looked like a clutch and she was sure someone stole it out of the stroller. There was a video camera and other things there and she just couldn't figure out why they would pass over the video camera and take her makeup bag. She was pretty wound up. After trying to decide what to do, and me telling her there was nothing she could do, she finally calmed down and we headed to another ride. As we were walking, my son in the stroller pushed up on the canopy which was folded back and out popped the makeup bag. She had hidden it in the folds of the canopy and forgotten about it. I guess she hid it so well even she couldn't find it. We still get a laugh out of that once in a while.

On my way to the library, I stop at the Orange Metrolink station to sit and do puzzles until it's time for me to leave to get to the library at opening time. Often I use the ladies' room. Lately, though, I haven't been able to. The toilet was backed up, unflushable and there hadn't been soap in the dispenser for at least the last several months. I sent a complaint to Metrolink, who is usually quick to respond. No such luck this time. I got a reply--concerning the TVM at the Fullerton station! What The Fooey?
I replied, asking if they felt okay, when was the last time they'd had a vacation, and stating that I never go to the Fullerton station, as well as repeating my request that the women's restroom at the Orange station needed service. I have yet to get a reply. This morning the door to the ladies' room was locked, which I assume means they still haven't fixed the problem. There's a Ruby's Diner right around the corner, and I did use that once. But I feel guilty not buying something there, as a show of thanks. I don't earn enough.
And apparently, they know me at OCTA as well, because I've lodged a couple of complaints their way too.. Once I was buying a bus pass at the OCTA office, and when they asked for my name, it was like are you the one who sends us these emails about our shortcomings? They didn't say that, but it was in their voice. Well, if they'd own up to their problems, maybe I wouldn't need to complain, right?

Maybe you could apply to be a "Secret Shopper" where they pay you to evaluate the Customer Experience at stores, medical clinics, etc.

I actually did that once. On one hand, I was good at it, but on the other, the work is very hit-or-miss, especially if you don't have a car. I've heard of people who make $600/week doing it, but they live in large urban areas, and drive. Long ago, gas stations had cleanliness inspectors, but with the do-it-yourself-and-save, plus cost-cutting measures since the 70s, they don't do that anymore. I checked it again today, still no soap, and the toilet was still clogged and unflushable. Since apparently it's owned by both Metrolink and OCTA, I might just contact Metrolink, and if something isn't done soon, the health department. I'm amazed flies aren't buzzing all over in there, and that it hasn't stunk to high heaven. Maybe someone is managing to flush it, then someone else comes along and re-clogs it.
