Toontown Dry Ice Bomb
This is just about as stupid as a guest can get.
Disneyland Explosion Prompts Toontown Evacuation
An explosion was reported at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on Tuesday, according to local news outlets, prompting the evacuation of a portion of the park. The blast occurred in the Mickey's Toontown section of the theme park, according to CBS Los Angeles. A plastic bottle filled with dry ice reportedly ruptured inside a trash can, the Anaheim Police Department told the Los Angeles Times. No injuries were reported.
Toontown was evacuated as a precaution and fire crews responded at the scene, according to ABC 10 News. The Orange County Sheriff's Department also sent a bomb squad to the scene, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Here's more from the Associated Press:
Park visitor Allen Wolf says he was about 20 feet from the blast, near Toontown's City Hall. He said the sound was similar to a gunshot, but louder. Wolf says the park's music never stopped playing as security surrounded the trash cans where the bang came from and told visitors they were evacuating.
Disneyland officials did not immediately reply to a message seeking comment.

Re: Toontown Dry Ice Bomb
You assume it was a guest. While it's not hard to get dry ice into the park. It is difficult to transport in anything but a hard cooler. not to mention it is not sold everywhere. It is however available to many ODV CMs. Occcam's Razor is telling me to look in that direction.

I touch them,
and they are real,

Assumption is the mother of all FUs. You're right. Guests/customers/passengers are the easiest target like this guy.CujoSR wrote:You assume it was a guest. On a slightly different subject, how did you guys cope with DLR being open for 24 hours over the Memorial Day weekend?

Chaulk one up for Cujo.
How disappointing that anyone -- cast or guest-- would think this was a good idea.

And $1,000,000 bail. Disney dropped a huge hammer on this guy.

Re: Toontown Dry Ice Bomb
So, An ODV CM risked his job because he thought it would be a "one time thing." How stupid can he be? He was lucky to have a job at Disneyland! Everybody would love to work at Disneyland. I think he will be fired and get a "No Rehire" on his record. Good luck to him in getting another job.

They should make a textbook case out of them to scare off other morons. catching them was just a matter of sitting in the camera room and watching the videos.
