Midlife Mouse

Post by BRWombat » Tue May 14, 2013 10:15 am

Somehow as I age, I'm coming to know more and more authors. Either my friends write books, or as in this case, a friend of a friend seeks out people to read an advance copy and let him know what they think. That's how I found out about Midlife Mouse, by Wayne Franklin. I didn't know the author before, but he was especially looking for Disney fans to review the book. It's even more surprising, considering the friend who connected us isn't one of my Disney friends!

I don’t often do book reviews, but this is worth an exception -- and you guys are perfect audience to really appreciate this book… go pre-order Midlife Mouse! It’s the hilarious story of a father who flees to Walt Disney World when his midlife crisis hits, not to vacation, but to live! His attempts to blend into the background, however, are thwarted by odd occurrences – he’s kidnapped by Snow White, accosted by a man in a spacesuit, and… well, you just need to read it! You'll be stunned by the detail and knowledge of Disney past and present the author weaves into the story.

Is there a shadow organization behind the scenes of everyone’s favorite entertainment company? Did Walt Disney issue a prophecy on his deathbed? Does anyone ever pay attention to Sonny Eclipse? Answers to all these questions and more in Midlife Mouse!

This book is a fun read for anyone, but it’s an extra-special treat if you’re a Disney fan. Highly recommended!

That you also get an ebook copy with the hard copy is a nice touch. Can't wait to ready it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Sounds fascinating!

Midlife Mouse is available today,* in both paperback and Kindle versions! Enjoy!

*Not coincidentally, the author chose today for release because "85 years ago today, a young Walter Elias Disney filed a trademark application for a new cartoon character...named Mickey Mouse." Told you this guy knows his Disney!
