Goat-Choker Trivia

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Only because K Man is in Costa Rica. He knew the last two. I knew I should have called him for the answers.

No and no. The costumes in the Hall of Presidents were all made new by Disney. The Simpsons do not appear at Disney, they just make fun of the place.

Well, the "not in adventureland" kinda ruined my guess, so I'm going to go with one of the costumes in the Carousel of Progress

Nope, those costumes were also made new for the attraction. Curious to know who you think died there; Uncle Orville is still with us.

I'm guessing here, but I don't suppose Osh Popham's vest is on display anywhere in the Emporium?

I am thinking it might be in a window displace somewhere on Main Street.

Ooo, nice thinking! Wrong, but nice. Osh Popham is the answer to one of my favorite Main Street trivia questions, so it's nice to hear his name again.

And no, it's nothing in a window on Main Street, but it is behind glass.

Does it have anything to do with the railroad artifacts under the train station. Perhaps a patch or the pocket watch or something ?

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

That's an excellent guess. There used to be an old pork-pie hat hanging under Main Street Station that was intended to represent the hat Walt can be seen wearing in many photos of his backyard railroad.

But no. And remember too, I said "made from"!

Keep guessing!

Whelp, the lack of replies makes it look like I've won another round. But you younguns shouldn't feel too badly, as it requires the Knowledge of the Ancients.

In Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, there are a number of glass-fronted boxes on the walls containing artifacts from various tales of the West. These include Slue Foot Sue's white riding gloves, Bowie's knife, and the object of this question:

The Lone Ranger's mask.

What about the "dead man's vest"? Well, for those who joined us late, the Lone Ranger wasn't always -- or ever -- a member of the Texas Rangers. His brother was. When his brother went missing, he employed Tonto to help find him. They succeeded, but too late. He had been shot in th back. Our Hero, at the side of his fallen brother, vowed an oath to fight injustice as a "lone ranger", and made a mask from the vest of his slain brother to always remind him of why. And now you know ... the rest of the story.

Here's a practical one:

"When is Cap'n Jacks closing?"
