Well, since I made that post at 1:15 in the morning, and riding bikes at night in Orlando sounds inherently dangerous to me..Alyssa3467 wrote:I don't get it.![]()

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I posted in that post a few months ago and it sickens me that people can be that picky - now, if the performer was in a lead role, that would be a different case, but in this one, no reason to get upset. That is also why I hate 99% of the people who post at MiceChat, nothing but anal assholders to me..

I know Jennifer and yes she is a great person and a great singer. Like I said before, those people on that other board are a bunch of spoiled passholes who think they know everything, that their shit doesn't stink, that the CMs owe them the fucking world when they come to the park and that everyone else is wrong when posting on that other board.

True, they think they can own the park and can work there, knowing what's best.Wizard69 wrote:Like I said before, those people on that other board are a bunch of spoiled passholes who think they know everything, that their shit doesn't stink, that the CMs owe them the fucking world when they come to the park and that everyone else is wrong when posting on that other board.

Re: Aladdin show at California Adventure
there are a FEW places in Orlando where it'd be safe to ride a bike at 01:15, like ... ok, I'm not thinking of any. Maybe within the guarded confines of the Chatham Square Apartment Complex ... although, I'm pretty sure CPs aren't allowed to have bikes.Big Wallaby wrote:Well, since I made that post at 1:15 in the morning, and riding bikes at night in Orlando sounds inherently dangerous to me..

Hello Ebvrybody, I havent posted in forever, but as you can see by my username, I am powerchair bound. I read that whole thread on board M, and I wanted to post so bad to those people that said they didnt "mind" a person in a wheelchair being in a supporting role, I wanted to say "Great, we dont mind when you are in our way at the mall/in the park/on the sidewalk either". She would not be independent if she was being pushed, if she is like me [I got Muscular Dystrophy when I was in my mid 30's] she may not have the arm strength to move a manual chair, but she has the Pipes to be heard and admired for her talent. I personally would love to meet her and just talk to her. If you have a good attitude and are wheelchair bound, you hear a lot of the same comments from people who are very well meaning, but dont realize that you have been asked 15 times today if you have a drivers license for that, the speed limit is 5 mph, and that you are so brave and that people really admire the way you handle your disability. Its really nice that people say that, but it gets embarrasing after a while. You either are a grumpy person or a happy person, and that is how you handle everything that life throws at you. Of course, people can be both depending on the situation, and stuff like that.
I would love to hear her at a karaoke contest, or singing in church or whevever she can show off her talent. Another thing people forget, maybe being in a Disney show is just another in a great line of things she has done. She didnt just wake up one day and then she was on stage. Sorry I am exploding here guys, but they closed that thread and I figured you guys would understand more.
Thanks for letting me vent, and hopefully I didnt make anybody mad at me.

Re: Aladdin show at California Adventure
I did a bit of digging and came up with a wee bit of background. Haven't been able to get this verified by a second source, so take it for what it's worth:
Disney wasn't looking for "differently abled" performers to meet their PC quota. She just showed up at the open audition like everybody else. She sang, the musical director asked the choreographer, "Can you work with her?" and the answer, "Sure, could be fun," got her the part.
Management didn't think it sounded like a good idea, but the lacked the balls to toss her out. "Let's see how the guests respond at the previews," was calculated to give them ammunition. The guests never offered any.
The Entertainment Department's unofficial motto is "On stage all comedy, backstage all drama". Personally, I think they're pretty funny both ways.

Nothing to be sorry about. I couldn't believe some of the comments on that thread, but it's good to hear it from the perspective that most of us don't and hopefully never will. So don't be sorry, instead take our thanks.wheelieman wrote:Sorry I am exploding here guys, but they closed that thread and I figured you guys would understand more.
