Lost and Confused

Post by Buggy » Thu Jan 17, 2013 1:02 pm

Usually I have to go for years between visits to Disney. Lately, it's been different. I have visited three different resorts in the past year. Paris last February. WDW in October. And I just returned from DL.

It was a weird feeling. I entered DCA and my mind said, "ok, make a right and you can go to the Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Rollercoaster. No wait; that's Florida. The rollercoaster and Tower are sorta to the left. No. That's Paris. Go straight ahead. You want Carsland." A similar feeling of confusion overcame me as I entered the Magic Kingdom -- I mean Disneyland Park -- later that day. I not only tried to find the Phantom Manor, I completely forgot about the Temple of the Forbidden Eye until I heard someone else mention it.

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? Any good names for what it might be named? Disphasia, maybe?

(At least I didn't ask anyone for directions to Expedition Everest this weekend.)

Everything you know is wrong.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Well you should be fine if you go to Hong Kong Disneyland. I hear it's a carbon copy of Disneyland, minus the whole Mystic Point area.

Been dazed and confused for so long it's not true. I'm just trying to find the bridge. Has anyone seen the bridge?

I was expecting to hear Weird Al's classic song, "Everything You Know is Wrong". :(
