They didnt do it

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

As much as I'm not a big fan of rats, they're actually clean animals, aren't they? (As in they clean themselves.)

just like a cat. and some like to swim, and some will even walk on leashes. and they will eat almost anything you will. they like to be held and are thrilled to go places with you. my friend almost got tossed out of dennys once. she had her rat in her purse, and every once in a while would drop some food in it for her rat. people were starting to stare.
and if they get into something, you can let them wash in the sink.

I liked Pixar's short Your Friend the Rat -- but especially the lengthy disclaimer at the end. Must be the lawyer in me.

Last summer, the city of Santa Ana tried to blame cats--both feral and owned--for causing the spread of typhus (I think) . Alley Cat Allies jumped on it, and the city reversed itself. But near my credit union there's a sign listing cats among other sources of the fleas that spread this. And the last time there was an outbreak, nobody died and very few people caught it.

BUT rats and other animals do carry fleas--cats clean themselves too, yet they still can have fleas.

Our big fear here in Hawaii is dengue fever. Interestingly, it's brought into the state by humans that were bit my a mosquito somewhere else.

It's spread by the human carrier being bitten by a local mosquito who then bites another human.

Some of the locals have so little exposure to science that they think it's the Black Plague and react accordingly.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.
