Anyone want to own a part Disney?

http://www.oneshare.com/order/stock.asp

For only $63, you too can be a share holder of the Walt Disney Company!

Instead of going through a broker or a company that requires a minimum perchase of 100+ shares, you can buy just one share for the market value plus their processing fee. Its not really a bad idea.

Hey Bob, were you around when they did the original stock split about 86 or 87? I only had a few shares of company stock, and they were supposed to have your written permission to split or buy back from you, but they automatically bought back from my profit sharing without my permission. Even though I worked for the company until 95, I never owned stock after that because of the way they handled my situation. I will not buy Disney stock (or product) until Michael Eisner is gone, gone, gone (why should my dollars support his over-indulged life? How much money does one guy need? I'm not even a practicing Catholic and I think the pope deserves more than Eisner...)

I totally agree with you on not buying into the company in attempts to support Eisner. Thats total crap what they did to your shares of the stock. You never gave permission for them to buy it back, I would have sued, but thats just me. As for the web site, its not just Disney stock you can buy which is the really neat thing. You can buy from a HUGE laundry list of companies that are very well known. When you initially click on a company, it tell you the price with some fancy frame thats probably a piece of crap, but they just want money. If you click on the drop down box at the bottom, you can get rid of the frame and just pay the market value and their brokerage fee.

Stock jumped 15% when the propossed merger was anounced. Buy it now so if there really is a merger, then when the stock sells higher, you'll get some. Its currently at $67.
