New Hi Tech Stuff

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

How long before the AAs in every Disney park start to demand breaks and raises? Be more worried about the pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean, though I would like to see them dunk a Disney executive in the well a few times.

thats why all robot will be hardcoded with the 3 laws.
I forget who came up with them. one says basicly. you shall never raise a hand against any human. but it will be a long long time before disney gets these robots. her programmers said she is taugh to dance and sing by watching humans do it first. her designer said thats the way entertainment robots should be. watch and learn, like a child. wait until they watch us and learn what we dont want them to learn. it's going to be like terminator, they will woship us. untill the see how we destroy everything. then we will be hunted.

The Three Laws of Robotics (often shortened to The Three Laws or Three Laws) are a set of rules devised by the science fiction author Isaac Asimov and later added to. The rules were introduced in his 1942 short story "Runaround", although they had been foreshadowed in a few earlier stories. The Three Laws are:

1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

Did you see the recent Simpsons episode ( "I, Homer" I believe) where Mr. Burns replaces all the staff with robots (except homer). It deals with this very subject.

That is a later update to Law 1.

And it was Brent Spiner who did the voice of the robot Homer befriended.

The song was pretty; I just wish it was subtitled in English. I noticed the robot's voice was much clearer than her predecessor. Her movements, though smooth, weren't always in time with those of her human co-stars, and I noticed she couldn't move her legs quite as much. Really cute, though. But you have to admit, there's been quite a few advances in robotics over just the last few years.
