Sorry to lose him, but that's a good age. :)
He admitted to having a bad tempter and being a pain to work with (especially during Matlock, but OTOH he stayed friends with Don Knotts and Ron Howard to the very end. Although they're both reportedly sweethearts, so maybe that says more about them than about him! :p:
