What about the horse drawn carriages and the Main Street Vehicles.

I didn't realize trains were MSO, but that explains the overalls helping us on PAC one night.

Do they still have the horse drawn carriages and other main street vehicles. I remember as a kid you could ride a fire truck and a double Decker bus but I have seen any of that in years.

I have been hearing a lot of wonderful things about working Main Street Ops. Actually not heard anybody complain about it yet. The worst comes from people who HATE pac stuff. I'm a big guy at 6'5" so people tend to listen. I also am really good at getting small children to listen and do what I tell them to do. So I don't worry to much about PAC.

I just really hope I get to drive the Train. I know it sounds cheesy but that would be a childhood fantasy come true for me.

The wost part is I know have to deal with MK hours. Since I am going to be new I have already accepted that I will be in the park at lot at 4am this summer. Such is life.

The horse-drawn trolleys were there as of 2010, although I think they only run until around noon. Gotta keep those for the Trolley show!

Dunno about the fire truck or double decker, although I would guess that they would only run in the morning as well.

Fire truck was still in use two years ago. I don't remember seeing the Trolley for a while. I thought the double decker bus was in use at Epcot but was phased out quite a while ago.

The horse-drawn trolley is used daily for performances of the Main Street Trolley Show with an omnibus being used in the trolley's place if weather doesn't permit bringing the horses over from Fort Wilderness but permits the show to go on.

Epcot's double-decker buses were different buses from the omnibuses and haven't been run in many years.

I thought I saw them used fairly recently in Epcot, but only to transport "characters" to the meet and greet areas.

Yesterland's article on the Epcot double-deckers mentioned something about that. I didn't realize they were still using them for that. The buses haven't carried guests in years though.

Horse drawn are used for the Trolly show, and are out for a while in the mornings. The MK vehicles were operating in mornings recently, however I'm sure it's dependent on the crowd levels.

One of the double deckers was available at Cast Connection. I sent a picture to my wife asking if she wanted to upgrade from her minivan.

If I'm remembering correctly, to be a train engineer you have to conduct for at least 6 months, but I know late last year they were fast tracking trainers and people who had been around straight to engineer.

If I'm remembering correctly, to be a train engineer you have to conduct for at least 6 months, but I know late last year they were fast tracking trainers and people who had been around straight to engineer.

I know I am going to be the lowest man on the totem pole for awhile. Believe me I am not expecting to walk in and start training on driving the train the next day. I have no problem waiting and working my way up to the chance to drive the train or any of the vehicles for the matter.

I have feeling for the first six months I am going to be doing PAC, PAC and more PAC. I'm Ok with that. I have a number of friends in the parade so it will be nice seeing them everyday.

I guess I should change my name to PAC MAN!

Main Street Vehicles are part of Main Street Operations.

Horse Cars are part of Tri-Circle-D Ranch. No link between the two other than working the same street.

I'll also vouch for the WDW Railroad being the best job in the Park -- so long as you don't tick off your Area Manager.
