I think Disney is trying to keep up with Universal's Harry Potter Land.
Sorry for the bump, but I think you said it best. Universal got so much on WDW after they opened the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is unfortunate cuz I've always enjoyed WDW much more than Universal. If Disney had got ahold of Harry Potter, maybe (personally I'm not a fan of either), but I saw absolutely no merit in Avatar. Three hours I'll never get back, I say. And I think I even read somewhere the sequels got pushed back... I don't think it's going to last, if it was for the hype it wouldn't have done well at all, let alone be worthy of a whole land. The most I can see is an attraction, but that's pushing it. I say if Disney comes up with a better franchise (or at least one comes up), go for it. But please, not Avatar. Just eww.

Phew, that was quite a rant. I apologize to all you who actually read through that :p:

It could be worse. Not much, but even blue people telling the story of Pocahontas is better than sparkly vampires.

The views and opinions expressed in this post do not represent those of the Walt Disney Company. This post was written while off the clock and off WDW property. Caution: The moving rubber line is travelling at the same speed as you.

You really need to get out more. Why don't you take cruise or something.

Send us a postcard. And you know they sell Hawaiian shirts there too.

Zazu, you're a foodie! I think you and your wife would love a cruise.

We have been thinking about doing a Disney Cruise. I have never been on a cruise. Maybe one of these days I will get around to renewing/getting new passports for us.

We do too; the Hawai'ian cruise will be #17 with DCL. Palo isn't Remy, but its brunch cannot be beat! (Though the one at Hyatt Grand Cypress can match it.) Plus we get two stops in New Orleans as we drive out and back!

Two more seats in the Prius if anybody wants to come along.

Passports really are a must. Permit me also to plug the "Passporter Guide to the Disney Cruise Line etc." DISCLAIMER: I'm a technical editor for this.

I can vouch for the Passporter Guide to DCL - the best DCL guidebook out there. Or maybe it's the only one?? In any case, if you're considering a Disney cruise, get the Passporter Guide.
Which reminds me - where is Syndrome? Doesn't she have like 80+ DCL cruises under her belt?
