Well, for one I'd love to see Alien Encounters come back as it was. The attraction was original, entertaining and well done. However since I doubt that will happen and Stitch (while my personal favorite Disney Character) is a horrid attraction, something should go in there.

Looking at the area via Google Maps:
-We'd need to know what the new "Tomorrowland" theme is going to be (if it's going to happen) to really get/give a good idea of what should take up that space.

For example, if we got rid of the gift-shop that would give more room for the space to be used. I don't honestly know how much room is in that building as I never worked in MK so I'm going to take a wild guess on this.

Perhaps something using the "Alien" theme since that's been re-occurring for years now. The theaters as they are now should be big enough to re-vamp into a more traditional setting with the "moving floor" style attraction. Perhaps a you could even keep stitch and replace it with a more "action oriented" ride threw "Stitches Escape to Earth" using the theater floor to get a better sense of movement. You can keep it light, adventurous and space themed but at the same time giving the attraction something new. Then at then end you could put in the stitch animatronic (spitting water at the guests and 'insulting' them in alien) as an exit piece.

If Stitch rubs you the wrong way, perhaps we could go back to Skippy, our fluffy friend from the original Alien Encounters. Perhaps we follow his adventures during the "Beaming" process, same idea as before with the moving theater floor but with something more 'fresh'. Say we follow him to an alien world and crazy hijinks take place until S.I.R. beams him back, we all go threw somekind of "Space Storm" which then while leaving shows us the "fried" Skippy as an exit piece. Perhaps these is even something where they take your picture during this which shows you "Fried" also, a handy photo your can buy from your trip!

Those are just the two that I came up with off the top of my head. I'll think more about it over the weekend and try to come up with something more original! I love thinking up things like this :D:

When I was a kid, I grew up with the original Snow White's Adventures, where the old beggar woman/witch was a cast iron silhouette of the witch dipping the apple into the cauldron of poison. Later, it became Snow White's Scary Adventures, with the silhouette becoming an animatronic, moving object that seemed to appear around every corner, tempting riders with the poisoned apple. I haven't been to DLR in over 30 years, so my memory might be a bit off. I remember both versions of Mission as well.

But we all have different life experiences and definitions of scary; what might scare the hoo-hoos out of one person, even to the point of scarring them for life could be boring or mildly exciting for another. So you can't make a one-size-fits-all attraction. Personally, though, I don't think I'd enjoy a ride that emitted foul odors. My tolerance is the musty smell of POTC.

If someone could make a bigger version of this hologram technology, I can see HUGE potential for being able to switch aliens out but keep the same environment intact. Have Stitch during the first half of the day and the awesome alien for the second half of the day. :p:

Heck, if that sort of 3-D projection technology is properly refined, you could have whole new "theater in the round" type attractions. However, it might be kind of hard to set up a switch between Stitch and the scarier Alien, not within the theater, but in the pre-attraction wait area.

So.... we couldn't use such holographic projections there too?

Pondering this a bit more and with the idea of 3D technology and holographic images, let's in a lot more ideas.

You could keep the round theater, if you wanted you could get all spiffy and make it so that at set parts of the show the theater its-self will slowly rotate. Then adding in effects one could easily project fast moving images on the wall, allowing the audience to be "Transported" to a new world.

This could easily be where we meet Stitch, who does he's crazy little animatronic part of the show. Say something happens and one of his darker, more evil cousins shows up (Remember Gremlins 2 with the 'Electric' one who got stuck on perma-hold?) and causes everything to go haywire, again transporting the audience to something equivalent to LV426 (Aliens Anyone? Oh, how about face-huggers shooting into the audience! That would be cool as hell) and bad things happen. Stitch becomes the hero, saves the day and everyone gets back to earth safely.

End Show.

How's that sound?

Speaking of aliens...

There used to be a bar in Gainesville that rotated. I vote we turn it into a bar!
