Aladdin show at California Adventure
I was over on micechat and there is a very long thread about the actress who performs in the Aladdin show who is in a wheelchair, someone said her name is Jennifer. Seems someone everheard a couple of guests complaining about her being in the show and they started a thread and its something like 21 pages long now. Does anyone know this young lady? or other Aladdin cast members? I have heard her sing and she sings quite well and it doent bother me a bit she is in a wheelchair, I think its great she performs and shows anyone can do anything. Some people agree and some dont and one person said they overheard some Aladdin cast members on the CM shuttle saying some not so nice things about her. Can anyone give a little more insite into this?
Thanks
Steve

Anyone who complains because of her disability is a small -minded jerk! I would think that other people of all abilities would see her as an inspiration.

svickersart,
Would you mind PMing me a link to the thread you're talking about? I'd like to read it.
Complaining that an actress is in a wheelchair, what is the world coming to?

I think I know who you are talking about. I seen her in performance. She is quite good. I have no problem with her.svickersart wrote:I was over on micechat and there is a very long thread about the actress who performs in the Aladdin show who is in a wheelchair, someone said her name is Jennifer. Could someone PM me the link too? I looked and couldn't find it. I don't normally read that board so I'm thinking I'm not looking in the right place.
On the topic of the performer in a wheelchair. KUDOS to Disney and to Jennifer both. I would feel HONORED to see her perform. I have seen the show a couple of times, but have yet to see her. I will make it a point to ask when she will be performing next weekend to make sure I see a show with her now.
The same people that have a problem with a handicapped person in Disney shows are the same people banning gay marriages then pleading guilty to having sex in airport bathrooms with someone of the same sex (or backing someone who does that).
I'm just sayin.....

Yep, choose which side you're on and stay there. Then, when you do what you say you are against, time to step down. Either side.ICStupidPeople wrote:The same people that have a problem with a handicapped person in Disney shows are the same people banning gay marriages then pleading guilty to having sex in airport bathrooms with someone of the same sex (or backing someone who does that).

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

There was a great bit on Elliott in the Morning (radio station DC 101) this morning where they sent a lesbian into a stall in a public restroom and then listened in to her trying to get some (and succeeding!) with the "foot tapping" method! It was freakin' hilarious! For the record: I'm cool with gay people (and lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, the transgendered and anyone else who wants me to be cool with them) and I'm cool with sex in bathroom stalls. I just think I'm pro-hate-crime against hypocrites! Now, if you'll pardon me, I have to answer some text messages from a congressman who's hitting on me.
