Highway distances are the only thing I prefer measured in metric. The reason being that here the highway speed is 100kmh. So calculating the time remaining on ones trip is dead easy if traveling 100 kmh. Great for the mathematically challenged.darph nader wrote:NEVER!!.We'll keep our silly measuring system and money . ;)

Of course no one actually goes that fast, more like 120-130kmh on the 401. Making the easy math less of an advantage.
Re: New! SG
Eh, just use the 100 figure. On long trips the occasional head call chews up the extra kmh and when you get there a little early, it's a bonus! ;)delsdad wrote:Highway distances are the only thing I prefer measured in metric. Yeah, sure, next thing you'll want us to add a 55-yard line to our football stadiums and be polite to each other. Where will the madness end???jerlove wrote:Money, Stamps, Metric system.... Seems like someone has some catch up to do. huhmm I am talking to you Uncle Sam!! :D:
