I was at Fantasmic the other day in a choice little Mickey Section right smack in the middle. I was pretty happy sitting there drinking beers and chatting with friends. The audience started the wave which I think it cute the first two times then I am done and going back to the beer.
Show starts and this lady turns on the video camera next to me and put the LIGHT on. Illuminating everything around here. After a couple minutes I kindly reach over and ask her to turn off the LIGHT. Of course she only speaks Spanish or Portuguese, shrugs, yells and points around then proceeds to go back to taping.
Then a few rows in front some parents its letting their kid play with one of those flashy swords and waving it all around. Seriously do people not realize how rude and annoying those things in the darkness during showtime.
Lastly, this goes for all shows. I HATE it when people get up and leave minutes before the show ends. Its seriously rude I understand you want to beat the crowds out but Its rude to the others who want to see the finale and its rude to the performers and show people who work damn hard to put on a fabulous show. I swear the next person who walks in front of me during the finale is getting tripped.

While riding the jungle cruise at night the kid 3 people up from me (he was closer to the skipper) had one of those light up swords and flashing necklaces. I call it a seizure necklace. I kept silent because I was afraid the parents would get angry if I asked them to tell their precious child to turn off the toys for the next five minutes. I was afraid a meltdown would ensue, which is worse than flashing neon toys. I also didn't want to hear any BS excuse from the parents.

AT DHS after waiting last summer in the heat, and having a fast pass > We are toward the 1st crowd to get into lights action motors. Well the place is filling up we have choice seats in front on end of row. .... Minding our own business this guy shows up walking down the stairs looks at sis and I and says "shove down"
while he talked on cell phone. I looked him right in the eye and said "oh yeah, that is soooooooooo going to happen".

You can't put the blame totally on the guests, as annoying as they are with those light up toys, Disney pushes all that crap so much, it's everywhere. It was pretty annoying for New Years when we waited in one spot for hours, and my friend was trying to film the fireworks, and these kids had those stupid light swords swinging in front of the camera.

I find that the glow carts themselves are even more annoying after dark. The huge concentration of flashing lights, plus the whining kids it attracts, makes them very unpleasant to be around. We always felt that working one of those carts must be the worst merch position to be assigned. So many parents are buying the products begrudgingly! And the CM has to put up with the blinking for an extended period of time.5th Dimension wrote:You can't put the blame totally on the guests, as annoying as they are with those light up toys, Disney pushes all that crap so much, it's everywhere.
