Magic Kingdom Park Map on Ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-World-40 ... 500wt_1287
So I am just gobsmacked that somebody would try and sell a common free park map and even more so that someone would actually bid on it

Re: Magic Kingdom Park Map on Ebay
Wow! Next time I'm there I'll have to grab a handful. ;)
I have a real park map from the 40th celebration. It has a copy of the original park map on the reverse side of it and the front looks like one of the original ticket books (we have some of those too). These were only handed out for one day and only one per person. My wife got one too. :D:
We would never sell ours.

I have a few of those as well. When I arrived they where just there in place of the regular park map. I had no clue it was a special edition only for a few hours. I grabbed a small stack of them to give to friends and stuff. I guess they are selling for a few bucks on ebay now. Somebody sold them for 12 dollars each.avengador1 wrote:Wow! Makes me wonder what I could get for my shirt and pin that I still haven't taken out of the bag. Honestly, I don't even know why I bought them. I wondered into the golden horseshoe to check out the merchandise. When I saw the madhouse and grabbing for the shirt I figured I should get one to. Guess I can sell it on ebay. I just really have never sold anything on ebay and it sounds like a lot of work to sell it and then ship it. Guess Ill just keep it stashed away for the niece and nephew.

Several years ago I saw three newbies bidding up on a Steamboat Willie CM one year pin on eBay. The final selling price was over $200. Who knows what idiocy lies in the hearts of random collectors?
Re: Magic Kingdom Park Map on Ebay
Well, since the park maps change often, they become collectors pieces. I could see them being sold on E-bay.NemoRanger wrote:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-World-40 ... 500wt_1287

I remember when Animal Kingdom opened. Guidemaps were selling for over $10 on eBay during that first week when they were still being handed out free.
Struck me at the time as a mix of amazing and stupid.
Mostly stupid though.

At the same time, I have nothing against it. If you have an audience willing to spend that on a map, then why not sell it*?Zazu wrote:I remember when Animal Kingdom opened. Guidemaps were selling for over $10 on eBay during that first week when they were still being handed out free.

It certainly would be cheaper than actually going to get one yourself...Big Wallaby wrote:At the same time, I have nothing against it. If you have an audience willing to spend that on a map, then why not sell it*?...
