Anne McCaffrey will not be down for Breakfast

Science Fiction and Fantasy Author, and Dragonriders of Pern creator Anne McCaffery, dead at the age of 85.

Although we were only fortunate enough to meet her once, Anne was a very important person to Purpura and me, as we first got to know each other via an online game based on her Dragonriders of Pern novels. :(

Very sad to hear this. I've enjoyed so many of her books over the years.

Such an intricate world she wove. Not many authors can do books where they take you forward and backward in their timeline the way she did, to create mystery and revelation all in good time.


My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
