When we start moving again, we keep behind the people we've told to go in front of us. If anything, we've cut behind those people.Mr. D. wrote:I have been curious on that one too. If I am, as you say, dawdling looking at details, taking pictures, ect. and tell people to go around me. Then I start moving again, did I just cut in front of those people?

I believe the Rules of The Line go as follows in this case:
You may not allow someone who was not immediately behind you go in front of you. This is viewed as being an accessory to line-cutting. However, you may let the people waiting behind you go around you, and may keep doing this, as you are the only one who will have to wait longer in line by doing this.

But what about the people you just got in front of?Buggy wrote:When we start moving again, we keep behind the people we've told to go in front of us. If anything, we've cut behind those people.
I mean I personally wouldn't care, but you know how some people are.
How would that be different then someone that went to the bathroom and is now working their way through line to catch up to their group?

That really would be a minor problem. Anyone coming up from behind can plainly see that you are ahead of them and it shouldn't be a problem unless the people that are upset are also brain dead. That is possible I suppose.Mr. D. wrote:But what about the people you just got in front of?

:) True. And if the people directly where you step back in line complain, just let them pass.Goofyernmost wrote:That really would be a minor problem. Well, if someone is letting the people directly behind them go past them in line. then the only people who are actually having to wait longer is just that person, not anyone behind them. So, there is no logical reason for someone to complain, as no-one except the person waving people to go around them is actually losing anything.
