Dennis Ritchie, a computer scientist who wrote the popular C programming language and helped develop the Unix operating system, has died. He was 70.
This guy is a very big deal. His developments literally touch just about everyone on the planet.

I literally just heard about this, and wanted to post it here, since in the two days since his death almost no one in the media has covered it.
