Silly Ride Traditions

Post by Darksin » Tue Sep 20, 2011 4:39 pm

I know their out there, I've heard rumors of them but as the rides I worked on where all fairly new at the time ours never had any!
So inquiring minds want to know (that and it got brought up in a conversation with a friend who was also a CM).

For example: I was told whenever Pirates is drained that they keep a jar of the "pirate water" and when refilled add it to the new so that technically it's always the same water.

Don't they say good morning and goodnight to George the ghost every day?

At Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, there is a bench in the office (under the ramp you come down to get on the ride, those doors if you look toward the load platform as your train is coming in) and all the CP's sign it as they leave the program.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

HM cast pet Lucifer (the black crow) and say good morning every day.

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

I have been told by many CM's that if a fresh rose is not placed on Garcey's tomb every morning, the mansion will break down and/or a guest gets injured.

This is not being silly. It just common courtesy at MK to be polite to all Cast...whether you can see them or not.

Now, what is SILLY??? Hmmm, rope drop that every morning in every WDW park causes Reedy Creek to pull away from caffeine to greet guests. Now, THAT is *silly*!

Well, kinda. See if the rose bushes get too flowery, well Gracey's allergies act up. And he kicks the damned dirt off, AGAIN.

This action causes the Housekeepers, Ezra and Emma, to get very upset. They fly into a tizzy trying to keep all the disruption from Ramsley.

Of course, Madame Leota starts moaning on how she fortold the whole thing while Pickwick uses the chance to snitch more libations from the Master's cabinet.

So, isn't it much simpler to make sure the Caretaker, while walking his dog in the morning, cuts the single rose and place it on Master Gracey's grave?

Now, what is really silly is that no one brings the wolf his dinner during the nightly birthday party so he will not howl all night. I mean really... that is just silly to me.

and if you spill a drink in the HM central control panel the system will be up and down all day. that and a tech will appear and scream in your face.
