Question for Disneyland CM's prop 215
Those of you in California are familier with prop 215, how does Disneyland handle this sort of thing? Do people try to "medicate" in the parks like in the smoking areas? Do you sick security on them and check thier cards or eject them? is it allowed since its considered medication or not allowed at all since Disneyland is private property?
Thanks
Steve
Thanks
Steve

If I smelled it, I'd just let Security know and have them handle the situation. Most of the time (if Security can find it), I see the guests getting to "take a walk" with the Security Officers. Don't see them after that.

As a guest, I was riding the Haunted Mansion when I smelled weed. I busted three teenagers. Pretended I was undercover security. Got the CM to call security, who dragged them off to the security office and I went along to sign a complaint. They were kicked out of the park.
"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

Re: Question for Disneyland CM's prop 215
Earlier this month, while walking into Classic Hall at Pop, I encountered a small group of guests passing the dutchie! Right outside the doors towards the pool, they were creating a huge cloud of "atmosphere" that would be right at home in the 60's section. Not sure if they were from Brazil, or just speaking portugese. When I reported them to the cm at the DVC desk, there were security folks on the way pronto. The DVC guide was mortified that these teens would be so bold as to spark up right outside the door.

That's why they're called stoners as in heads full of rocks.

Re: Question for Disneyland CM's prop 215
I've seen and smelled people smoking pot at Disneyland in the past. and it doesnt suprise me. In Florida its not allowed but here in California under prop 215 it is allowed for medicinal use. I was wondering what Disney does about this. Just because someone has a card doesnt mean they can smoke it anywhere, but I know people have to have tried in the smoking areas and used the 215 card as the reason. I was wondering what the companies policy is, do they toss them from the park? or just ask them to stop? or do they allow it?
Thanks
Steve
And no, i do not have a card, just curious.

Re: Question for Disneyland CM's prop 215
I'm assuming they get tossed (just because everyone I've ever seen caught smoking pot DOES get tossed). There are other ways to consume MJ if you really need to while out and about. Pills, for example, or baked into food. Smoking it seems very "messy" when you think about it, at least in a place like DL. You're exposing other people to a drug that technically for them, is illegal and can give them a contact high. And there are kids around. Even if they aren't in the smoking area, the smoke an travel and they can be exposed to it. Generally it just doesn't sound like a good idea.
And it is private property, does a card work on private property? Wouldn't it be up to the owners of that property if they're okay with such a thing? I'm sure someone probably has tried to sue over it. And I'm sure that would get some sort of media coverage. (The Hijab incident did, I'm sure a guest saying that their rights are being infringed upon would also get some media attention/coverage)

SB 420 established the program and allowed private, personal medicinal use. 11362.79(b) prohibits medicinal marijuana use in or within 1,000 feet of certain places commonly occupied by youths, such as schools, recreation centers, and youth centers. In this spirit, ejection for marijuana use is substantiated and not uncommon, with or without legal possession of the card and enrollment in the medical marijuana program as specified by Sec. 2. Article 2.5 (11362.7). As such, the general mantra is "your house, yes; my house, no."
