Important Information- Save the Hippos!

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Yes, Animatronic Hippos are a rare and disappearing breed which deserve our care and concern! :D:

From what I've seen, most of the skippers must be lousy shots. I mean the hippos are always there for the next trip.

They have a very short gestation period.

Naw, I think they keep a pen of them someplace behind the ride then just drive one into the water every few minutes ;)

If they are looking to relocate the hippos out of Anaheim, they better not move them to Orlando, because I hear that they are getting shot down there as well.

Went on San Diego Zoo tour last year where they showed a "toy" that had deep gashes in it from Hippo Teeth

We are lucky to make it through the Jungle Cruise alive,I tell you! Thank goodness for those brave college stud-er---skippers! :hippo:

I'm not too worried after what they found out at Kilimanjaro Safari in the early days.

Today, when you go on the ride, the male hippos are to your right, and the females are to your left. There is a very good reason for this.

You see, at first, they used medical contraception of some form and put the males and females together.

18 baby hippos later, it was decided that hippo contraception was ineffective in much more than 0.01%.

So if they are shooting anti-aircraft hippos for entertainment purposes, I am fairly sure that Anaheim has warehouses full of the things.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
