Cheap Eats near the park....

Post by TechieSidhe » Sat Aug 27, 2011 7:44 pm

My question for all you broke Disney Cast Members...

Where is a cheap GOOD place to eat breakfast near the parks? DH and I will be up that way in December and were wondering where we could find a cheap, but good breakfast hear the World. If you know of a good Southern Soulfoodish breakfast place, that would be quite awesome. (We knew of a couple places, but they have apparently closed.)

DH is a Waffle House addict, but I am not doing that for four days straight. My intestines are already going to be in knots coping with my Big Fat Greek Family.

Waffle House when Bob Evans is around the corner? Hogwash!

Perkins is a big personal favorite, their breakfast (and just about everything else there) is always very good. I've never once gotten a bad meal from Perkins and their all over plus are reasonably priced.

Waffle House, Perkins, Ihop and Dennys are all within about 2 blocks of each other on SR-535 near Downtown Disney, and again on 192 just west of World Drive. There are also 2 Cracker Barrel locations on US-192 (1 fairly close to where it hits 535, the other a bit further west of that, beyond Celebration, closer to Disney's Animal Kingdom).

Golden Corral does a pretty decent breakfast buffet (1 on Vineland rd near 535, 2 on 192 in rough proximity to the above mentioned Cracker Barrels)

A local bike shop was on the first floor of a two story building. Denny's was above them on the second floor. The bike shop finally had to move because of all the strange gooey substances leaking through the ceiling and landing on bikes, employees, and the occasional customer.

The Denny's On International Drive and Central FL Parkway used to give a discount to Seaworld Employees. Plus we got our food faster then anyone else, then again that was also before anyone under 18 had to split their breaks up!
