Ooo, good question!
*FUSTRATION* :choke:
Ah, but you've already answered it. Pity.
Don't mind me, I'm one of the frustrated ones.

ktulu wrote:Yeah...not as common as the blue screen of death :) Out of all of the macs I've either managed or used, only one died, a laptop that traveled with me and got tons of use. The only issue with it was the connection between the monitor and the logic board, the graphics port worked fine. Apple got it repaired and back to me in 3 days, just in time for me to go out of town and do a presentation.
The best fatal error message ever was on the Wholehog 2 lighting console. It ran on a linux variation. Unfortunatley it was woefully underpowered on the hardware side. It was the first lighting console to make real use of touch screens. When a fatal error occoured a box appeared and simply said "I'VE CROAKED!" and your only way out was a hard reset.
Oddly, when the software was ported to Windows CE for the IPC, it was actually much more stable, though not perfect.

Ok.... As BW can attest.. I some times become privy to information about upcoming "events" to the parks...
Before leaving the company I was told about a few things.....
Imagination: They are in the works of restoring as much as they can of the old set along with returning Dream Finder to the cast. They also are in talks with one of the original Dream Finders ( who originally voiced figment from what i am told... seeing one of them died ). They have alot of room to work with in that building but in order to get the most of what they have they would have to shut down for a pretty good chunk of time... also....
Universe of Energy: Ellen's contract with Disney ended several years ago and Disney no longer has to keep that show in operation... with that said, they turned the attraction into a seasonal venue so Imagineering can start early design work for an indoor ECO Roller Coaster that will put the solar cells on the roof to good use. No ETA on this actually becoming reality.
Wonders of Life: Plans are underway for a revitalization of the building now that the update for Star Tours has finished and the motion sim bases inside are no longer needed for testing purposes. Part of the revitalization is to install one to two attractions inside along with a several walk through.
Now this information was given to me about 14 months ago and could have changed sense then... I have taken a hiatus from all things Disney and am not currently in the inner circle anymore. I will keep my ear to the ground and listen for any further rumblings....

I hope you're right. Hope you're right about Wonders of Life too. I don't mind Ellen's show all that much, so that part doesn't matter to me so much.

I would consider the return of Dreamfinder to the cast of Imagination as a very good thing.

I guess I better ride it soon. Since going back to WDW the last three years in a row, we still have not gone on this attraction.

I'd love to "tour" the ideas folder in Imagineering. Something will happen, after all, The Little Mermaid finally got her attraction!

I'm not a gambler but I would put money on the fact that you have plenty of time left before Energy becomes an indoor roller coaster. Rest easy!
