SG + Gun = Hillariousness

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I have a gun and am not afraid to throw it. :D:
This reminded me of how criminals would throw their guns at Superman (both in the TV series and the comic) after they ran out of bullets. Oh, like that is going to do anything!

I don't know, Superman just stood there for the bullets, but he always ducked the gun.

My wife is a pharmacist at a childrens hospital. Several years ago she was doing an inservice presentation on epi-pens at my daughters daycare for the staff. They use special "trainer" epi-pens for the training. These are VERY clearly marked as trainers. After everyone but the director had a chance to practice with the trainers. One of the staffers had her own epi-pen in her purse, and pulled it out to check the expiry date, when that topic was being covered in the discussion. The director, for reasons unknown, grabbed the REAL epi-pen from the staff member, said "oh I didn't get a chance to practice" and administered it to herself ! With the REAL epi-pen!

Off to the campus clinic she went to get her vitals monitored ! She was fine, but suffered from a wicked headache!

The moral of the story: Do not allow ANY real devices in the room during a training session!
The other moral of the story: Just because they have a Masters degree or PhD, doesn't mean they are any smarter than the kids they are looking after !

There's a huge difference between intelligence and smarts.

hehehe....I can attest to the fact that even our best MDs make errors-it is the job of the nurses to keep them going in the right direction ;)

For constant proof, just look at my generation, save (mostly :p :) for those on this site. I've been one to call my generation the smartest morons on the planet.

And then I look at those just half a generation behind mine, and a whole generation, and realize I am going to have to modify my saying

But there is a group working on that, and they will be successful. You'll start hearing about them over the next few years. The revolution of intelligence is coming.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
