At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I'm with DM...how can we choose just one cookie? I'm all about soft cookies. I prefer Keebler's Soft Batch Chocolate Chip cookies on a regular basis, but, if I am in the Trolley Square are of Wilmington, DE, I am forced to stop in to Toscana and get cherry and white chocolate chip cookies. I don't know what they do to them, but they taste like magic......

Mrs. Fields Debra Specials. These are so good they can cure bad days at work.
I worked for a lovely lady who was mostly always up. She was having a horrible day so I went out and bought a dozen Specials. I leaned over the wall between our cubicals and asked if she was still having a bad time. She said yes so I said that I had gone out and bought some heavy drugs for her.
She got a shocked look on her face until I raised the bag above the wall. Instant cure!
We went into a conference room and polished off the bag.

In my next life, I want to work with Hobie. :D:
On Facebook, my son posted this link ("Books Are For Nerds"):

Then he said:
"Seriously? Why would someone say that? Well, guess what...
Oxygen is for losers."
Did it crack me up because it's funny, or just because it's so classically my son?

Do you mean Piccolina Toscana? Because I was addicted to their Toscana Burger when we lived in Christiana. Between them and Ali Baba's in New Castle, I ate very well for the year we where there!DragonFox98 wrote:I'm with DM...how can we choose just one cookie? I'm all about soft cookies. Anytime we go into NJ to see the In-laws we'll take the long/cheap way (Down threw West Virginia, Threw Baltimore and Up threw DE into NJ). I make us leave early (or late) so I can procure stashes of my favorite food addictions (Wawa's Mocha Mint Iced Coffee, Formica Bros Bread, Pork Roll, Ali Baba's, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Purebread Deli...).
Down in Orlando my favorite Bakery was Charlies on Curry Ford just past Crystal Lake Road. We used to stop by there once or twice a week when I was little and I always got a cookie or two. They had good cheesecake too!
Although I'm not sure if their even still there now?

This reminds me of two things: First, Mr. Humphy's oft-repeated line for Are You Being Served? about having friends of all sorts. I have, on a number of occasion, thought this could apply to me as well.TiggerHappy wrote:... I work with interesting people. <_<
This leads to the second thing: A couple years back, while at a fan convention, I ran into a friend I had not seen in sometime. Now, when we had last seen each other, my friend was a man. During the intervening time, obviously some surgery had been done, and my friend is now a lady. This bit of my conversation with my friend should give you some insight into how my mind works:
Friend: Um...you did notice I'm now a woman, right?
Me: Sure.
Friend:....But you didn't say anything about it.
Me: Well, I figured you already knew.
Honestly, I wasn't trying to be cute or funny!
