SG + Gun = Hillariousness

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

CBC News: U.S. man accidentally shoots himself in crotch

I do think he got his firearm handling training from watching way too many western films, lol.

Did you guys read any of the comments? Especially about "going off half-cocked"?

Why is it that guys always shoot themselves in their favorite place? I mean, you never hear of a woman shooting herself in "the girls", do you? Or "Down There", either?

Since it's mostly gangbangers who carry a gun in their waistband, this should serve as another reason why you should never attempt to emulate a gang member. ;)

Who? Sorry, name doesn't sound familiar. (Still trying to keep the Russian hackers out with your 10 character minimum, huh?)

Dumbass Super Bowl star for the Giants went clubin' with a piece stuck in his waistband. Gun slipped, he tried to catch it and shot himself. Did two years in the slam. Talk about adding insult to injury.

Oh, okay. See, we recently lost our satellite/cable TV, and none of us has a credit card or the bucks to renew the subscription, so we're stuck with over the air, such as it is. I really think the government should've stayed out of the TV business.

This guy is actually a clear contender for a Darwin Award. He may have taken himself out of the gene pool without injuring anyone else.

and they are real,
and they are real."

Sadly you would think that people would figure it out that handle guns.

that particular model has no trigger guard!

I have been a firearms instructor since 1990, and I can't even begin to say how many otherwise level headed people become a bit foolish. when we transistioned from a S&W semi-auto to glocks, it was a nightmare!

(umm, yes, the trigger detent will disengage if you get it caught on your shirt when you tuck it in!!! it WILL go bang!!)

I have to laugh when some try and tuck a "safe" gun into their waistband, and then realize that if they run (a very good chance if they are in a situation) they will disarm themselves as their gun goes spinning down the pavement after it falls out!

I would get the "accidential discharge" (AD) compiled reports. I know of one person (not my agency!!) that performed a ball-ectemy" on himself with a glock (.40!) he survived. afterwords he admitted he was stoopied!
