I meant how do I remove the cover to reveal the text. There's a bar below the touchpad that acts as a mouse with right/left click, but when I tried it, it didn't work.

Maybe I should remember to try this when I'm on the library computers, not my netbook.

Position the cursor to the left of the hidden text. Hold down the left button, and move the cursor across the text. Should work.

Do you have the ability to click and hold? To reveal it, you highlight the text by clicking, holding and moving the mouse. It's a regular left click. So if you can move icons around on your screen, you can make it happen. If you cannot do that, then you would not be able to.

I use a MacBook Pro for some of the video work I do, and it was a very long time before I found out the easiest way to scroll was to tap the mouse pad with two fingers and move them. I am sure there are many more tricks like that that I need to learn. My next PC will be a Mac, but in the meantime, I am not adjusting my learning curve.

And yes, I do know what I just said.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

If you upgrade to Lion you'll find your track pad has a number of new functions.

I like the one where you use 6 fingers, an elbow, and your left ear.

How about the smartphone tongue function?

For when you have on a pair of dusty leather gloves.
