Creepy, Crusty & Crumbling: Six Flags NO

Post by Freak » Fri Jul 22, 2011 2:59 pm

Virtual tour of Six Flags in New Orleans. It's sort of creepy. 6 years after Hurricane Katrina, this place still stands. Six Flags has no intention of re-opening it. Enjoy.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

Eerie and Fascinating! Would make a great movie set! Surprised that things are sitting there still with demand for scrap metal/ e-bay opportunities....

Super creepy and amazing. A great idea for a Halloween Haunt maze!

Last I read about it, the county is fighting with six flags while also trying to find someone to re-furbish and run the property. However on the other hand according to the numbers and others I've talked to, locals rarely went there and most people didn't even know it existed. Apparently when it was operated as "JazzLand" it wasn't doing well to begin with so I can't really see someone coming into the property.

However that doesn't stop me from wanting to make a trip down there to explore it! I LOVE abandoned theme parks, their eerie and sad yet fascinating to see.

There is another park, out in Kansas called Joyland and half a dozen others I can think of off the top of my head. Naturally not counting the ones I've gotten into to explore myself :D:

Reminds me of Dark Carnival in L4D2.
