Help me figure this one out
Okay. These guests come barreling into my lobby at about 1 am deciding that they want to buy tickets right then. I explain the prices and inform them we can only take cash for the tickets as our CC machine is not set up that way. They get pissed off and ask where they can get money. I say the 7-11 on the corner is open 24 hours. Then they ask me when Disneyland opens. I say 8 am and they glare at me. I ask what's wrong and they say isn't Disneyland open 24 hours? Ummmmmmm no. The yelling begins. They were told by someone it was and now they ask me what they can do until then. So many snarky comments are moving through my head at this point. But I say I am sorry Anaheim kind of rolls up its sidewalk after 11pm. They start to scream at each other in their native language and stomp out of my lobby. Parting words to me are complaining to my manager and having their room discounted for wrong information. I am trying so hard not to laugh as they get into the elevator. How would anyone else have handled this???

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

You mean, you weren't going to give them a disount on their hotel room (and I'm assuming it's a non-Disney hotel to boot?) because you don't have magical control over the operating hours of the local theme park?
And what could they do between 1am and 8am??? Hmm....I know a lot of people who doing something like sleep between those hours....crazy notion, I know..
Dang, thanks for the laugh....working hotel front desk is something else isn't it? Last Christmas I had guests come into the lobby around 7pm wanting a refund on their park passes because it was raining on their Christmas day visit to Epcot

So many comebacks, so little time...LittleDollClaudia wrote: Then they ask me when Disneyland opens. I say 8 am and they glare at me. I ask what's wrong and they say isn't Disneyland open 24 hours? Ummmmmmm no.
Guest: What time does the park close?
Me: 5 minutes ago.
Guest: Are there any rides still open?
Me: No, the park's closed.
Guest: So, there's no rides still open?
I'm so glad I'm just seasonal!!!
